About Me

Hey friend! Welcome to Ty’s Laws of Life.

Just like you, I’m figuring out my way through life as I go, one extreme decision at a time. I’m by no means perfect, like at all. To be frank, I mess up a lot. My preferential choices to cope are: changing my hair (sometimes to awful styles), exercising, eating cookies, crying for 5 minutes followed by dancing to Beyonce, and binge watching a good show. I am a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a friend, currently an English teacher, and soon to be a law student (Fall 2019). I’m a traveler and a life learner. Above all, my favorite identifier is when I call myself a Woman. I admire strong, fierce, and resilient women who love wholeheartedly, especially the women around me.

I love make up, reality tv, and the typical girly things. But just as much, I like to get down and dirty too. I enjoy adventuring, playing with animals, and talking too much about things I’m really passionate about. I like to refer to myself as spiratchually, sophistghetto (Spiritual+Ratchet+Sophisticated+Ghetto). I love to laugh at really bad jokes.

I value honesty, unquestionable loyalty, unwavering faith, and selflessness. I believe in God. I believe the world would be a little better off with a bit more introspection and kindness. I believe we are all doing our best to survive in a world that can be extremely unfair. I believe we can all be better to ourselves and to others.

More about me… I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Sociology Fall ’18. I like to spread awareness on things I learn, and I like to be educated on things that I don’t know I don’t know. I moved to South Korea after graduating from undergrad to teach English for a year. Which has been the most humbling years of my life by far, but has definitely shown me how much more work I need to do on myself. The experience has also helped me to see the ways I would like to leave an impact on people that I encounter.

Through this blog, I hope you gain that it’s ok to be perfectly imperfect. Trust and enjoy your process. We’re all in this together.

Ty
